+++ Update: We introduce ourselves – with honest words. Take a look here. But don't forget to come back to the blog ;-) +++

Around 9:30 a.m., everyone slowly trickled in for breakfast and tried to enjoy it as best they could. Our conclusion: breakfast in Rotterdam was definitely better than here. Afterwards, we sat down together to clarify a few things, and the first few people already made their way to the bicycle shop. Below, each person briefly reports what they did that day:

Unfortunately, I had breakfast relatively late today because I didn't like the food at the hostel very much. From 1 p.m. onwards, I tried out all kinds of food spots in Amsterdam, which more or less satisfied my pent-up hunger.

We strolled gently through colourful shops, the rain splashed down, canals full of splendour. We ate together, laughter so close, Amsterdam shone – a wonderful day.

After breakfast, the day began in style with a relaxed game of Doppelkopf. We then strolled through the Jordaan district and enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the city before taking a short break in a café. After many steps and impressions, we finally found a pizzeria where we ended the evening with food and Doppelkopf. We then walked home through the streets.

Hello! After a cosy night, we explored the city today. We strolled through the streets in small groups and discovered many beautiful spots – despite the rain, it was very nice. After visiting numerous shops, we finally ended up in an Italian restaurant. We ended the day with lots of fun conversations.

After a disappointing breakfast, Liam and I satisfied our remaining hunger at Lidl. The day was filled with vintage and second-hand shops and other strolls. After an unsuccessful shopping trip, we had dinner at an Italian restaurant. The food was good, the bed even better in the evening. See you tomorrow.

I was out with Jasper, Lida and Lisa today. We rummaged through lots of second-hand shops, but some of the items were a little overpriced. On the way back, we got lost and ended up taking 40 minutes instead of 20.

Today we crawled out of bed at 9 a.m. To give our legs a break, we just made a detour to a thrift shop and picked up a few snacks. In the evening, some of the art class visited us and we ended the day in a relaxed manner.

I started the day at 9 a.m. with a leisurely breakfast. Later, we got something tasty to eat, did a bit of shopping and almost got lost because we were so engrossed in conversation. I ended the evening in a relaxed and cheerful mood with friends.

Today we explored Amsterdam in small groups. After breakfast, we drove to Jordaan, strolled through shops, visited a café and ended the day relaxing at an Italian restaurant.

On our last day in Amsterdam, Paul Mats and I tried out some viral food spots and explored the city a bit. We had chips, cookies and, to finish off, a juicy burger. Unfortunately, the burger was the worst of the lot.

A day in Amsterdam: We travelled into the city, tried out two popular food spots and ended the evening with a juicy burger at the third TikTok spot. A very tasty day.

A day in Amsterdam: First we had crispy chips, then we tried some delicious biscuits. In the evening, we rounded off the day with a burger at TikTok's third food spot.

Hey, a quick report from Amsterdam Day 1. First things first, a hearty breakfast. Then quickly make a plan for the day and play a few rounds of Doppelkopf. The plan was to spend the whole day walking around Amsterdam in the rain, running from shop to shop and food spot to food spot. After this long day, we ended it with another round of Doppelkopf.

At lunchtime, I went to second-hand shops with Lisa, Romina and Lida, and in the evening I played Kunst Blackstorys and ate kebabs.

Do you know that feeling? You want to stab a martyr and suddenly your trousers slip down? Jacques Bellange seems to understand it well. You can find this and other artworks in the Rijksmuseum.

In the evening, everyone finally returned to the hostel, where we tried to do our laundry and pack our bags for the next day. The mood was surprisingly exuberant – almost everyone was in high spirits and could hardly contain their laughter. Unfortunately, we also had to make a difficult decision: Sofie had to return home the next day for health reasons. With mixed feelings, but exhausted from the day, we finally went to bed and hoped to gather new energy for what was to come. (Spoiler: We definitely needed our nerves the next morning).
